How many admission list does UNIZIK releases every year?

Based on past precedence, Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) releases 4 (four) admission lists every year. They include the following; UNIZIK merit/first batch admission list, UNIZIK 2nd supplementary admission list, UNIZIK 3rd supplementary admission list and finally, UNIZIK Direct Entry admission list.

These admission lists are not released at once by the management of the university. Many of time, the university will release her first batch/Merit admission list first, then other supplementary and direct entry lists will be released.

As one of the best state universities in Nigeria, Nnamdi Azikiwe University has an admission checking portal for aspirants to check their admission status. Thus, to check your name in any of the admission lists I just mentioned above, you have to go through UNIZIK admission checking portal. Alternatively, you can check UNIZIK admission list through JAMB CAPS or JAMB portal.

Will UNIZIK release another admission list this session?

The answer is yes! If Nnanmdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) has released her first batch admission list already, then the university will definitely release another admission list this session.

Nonetheless, if the university has already released all the admission lists I just mentioned above, then there is probably not going to be another admission list.

Note that UNIZIK sometimes releases just one supplementary admission list in a year. It usually takes time for supplementary admission lists to be released. Most times UNIZIK releases supplementary list comes out in the first week of January the next year.

More information on UNIZIK admission lists

UNIZIK merit admission list

This is the first admission list that is normally released by UNIZIK every year. It’s usually based on merit because it contain the names of only students who actually met all the admission requirements and cutoff marks fixed by the management of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

Based on my research, UNIZIK merit admission list is usually released around October/November of every year. However, sometimes the university can actually release her merit list very early. After the list has been released, admitted candidates will be required to accept their through JAMB CAPS and also do their clearance at the university.

UNIZIK 2nd and 3rd Supplementary Admission list

This is the admission list that is released by UNIZIK to supplement the already released merit admission list, to supplement the list. UNIZIK 2nd and 3rd Supplementary Admission lists are usually released together with Direct Entry admission list. They are released around December or even January the next year.

In my opinion, I think UNIZIK 2nd and 3rd Supplementary Admission list are for those who, slightly, did not meet up with all the requirements of the university.

UNIZIK Direct Entry Admission List

UNIZIK Direct Entry List is the admission list for candidates who applied for admission into UNIZIK through JAMB Direct Entry form. It is not the same with supplementary list because Direct Entry list only contain names of candidates who applied for direct entry admission. Check here to see how you can apply for JAMB Direct Entry form next year.
