The reason for this is because, every university wants to make sure that they admit students who are both mentally and academically capable of facing the ups and downs associated with living a good university life.

There are only few universities in Nigeria where you can still gain admission without much stress. Don’t not get me wrong, i don’t mean that these universities are not also stressful. The point i am trying to make known is that, these universities are less competitive and even easier to gain admission into.

It is the only federal university in Ekiti state.

I am sure that this university will soon become a “hard-to-get” university because of the efforts of the university’s management towards the growth of the university.

However, for now, i can say that this university is an ideal university for students who did not meet the required cutoff marks for their courses in any of the competitive universities in Nigeria.

The basic reason why the universities mentioned above are less competitive is because they have less number of aspirants. Thus, the university are even looking for more students. One of the mistakes many students make is to apply for admission in those top universities in Nigeria.

Well, there is nothing wrong applying for admission in schools like UNN, UI, UNILAG or OAU. But the truth is that if you are not very sound academically, then you can’t gain admission into those schools. So, if you are not good enough, why don’t you apply for a school that will give you admission easily.

2. Their departmental cutoff marks are low

Another reason why it is easier to gain admission into the schools I just mentioned is because, their cutoff marks are very low. Thus, students with low cutoff can still gain admission via the university’s merit list.

In my view, these are the best universities for students who are unable to meet the required cutoff marks for their courses in other schools.

But when you compare the stress of gaining admission into these universities with other universities, it is clear that these universities are much more easier to gain admission in Nigeria.
