Above is the cutoff mark for admission into universities and polytechnics in Nigeria. Bear it in mind that the above cutoff mark is not binding on some institutions. It is still subject to the discretion of the administrators of the institution, especially in professional courses like Law, Medicine and surgery, Pharmacy, Engineering etc. For these course, candidates will be expected to score higher than the above general cutoff marks.
But that does not override the fact that most less competitive state universities, polytechnics and colleges of education will be admitting students with just 160, 120 or 100. Admission into tertiary institutions this year still depends on the competitiveness of the courses and general performance of students in the just concluded JAMB examination.
Hope this was helpful? If you have anything to say concerning the just released JAMB UTME cutoff marks, don’t hesitate to drop it at the comment section below this post.
