In other words, students should endeavor to have, at least, an idea of how demanding their choice of course is before applying for the course. This will help you to prepare for the ups and downs in the course.
It is truism that no university course is too easy or too difficult. I totally agree with that reasoning. However, I am also of the view that some courses are more demanding than others. For instance, a study who want to study a course like Medicine will have to study harder than a student who want to study Business administration to gain admission into the university. So, when I say “each courses to study in the university” I am actually referring to the less demanding courses in the university.

1. Plant science: Plant science is also called Botany, plant biology or phytology. It is a branch of biology that explains the science of plant life (Wikipedia). A plant scientist can work in any sector of the economy that has to Agriculture. It is an easy and less competitive courses in most universities. Based on this you should consider studying plant science if you really want to study a less demanding course in the university.
Recently, i discovered that many students are running away from this course because it has to do with the soil. The truth is that, anything that has to do with Agriculture is always very lucrative. But because of ignorance, many students prefers to work in an office with good ventilation. Trust me; plant science is a very lucrative course. Especially, in Nigeria where there is a dearth of farmers.
2. Zoology: I personally don’t know why many students in Africa hate Zoology as a course. I am sure that many students don’t even like the fact that i mentioned it here. There is even the belief that Zoology is only for people who want to end up working in the zoo.
This is a very wrong Ideology and I don’t subscribe to it. According to Wikipedia, Zoology is the branch of biology that studies the animal kingdom, including the structure, embryology, evolution, classification, habits, and distribution of all animals, both living and extinct, and how they interact with their ecosystems.
It will surprise you to know that Zoology is a good area of specialty in Nigeria. First, it is very easy to gain admission into the university if you want to study this course, since there are no much students studying it. Accordingly, I can bet that Zoology is one of the easiest courses to make good grades in the university if you put good efforts.

3. Library: Library is another easy and less competitive course that can fetch you good money after graduation. Note that a librarian is not just the person working in your little school library.
There are some bigger libraries that pay their librarians very well. Examples are; national libraries, University libraries and more. Thus, it wrong to refer to all Liberians as low earners, because some of them earn more than even a lawyer.
4. Geology: Geology is another superb, less competitive and easy course to study in the university. It is the study of the Earth surface, the rocks of which it is composed, and the processes by which they change over time. In Africa, Geology is not a well recognized course of study.
Nevertheless, it still remain one of the best courses for students who really want to study a less competitive course in the university. If you would like to study Geology in the university, i enjoin you to do more research about the course first. Make sure it is really what you want to study.

Sociology has to do with the scientific study of society, patterns of social relationships, social interaction, and culture. In Nigeria, Sociology is a very easy It a less competitive course. In my opinion, this is a good for students searching for a less difficult course to study.
6. Mass communication: You will agree with me that Mass communication is a very lucrative and less demanding course in most universities. Oxford dictionary says that mass communication is concerned with the imparting or exchanging of information on a large scale to a wide range of people.
Mass communication in a democratic state is a perfect idea for any students because the media with is also part of mass communication is a very delicate pillar of democracy.

7. Fisheries, Forestry And Wildlife: This is another easy course to study in the university. It is less competitive and lucrative too. Actually, Fisheries Forestry And Wildlife is a departmental under the faculty of Agriculture in most universities. According to my research, fishery is an entity engaged in harvesting fish which is determined by some authority to be a fishery.
By studying this course, you will become an expert in the management and production of aquatic animals, forest management and others. Unfortunately, Fisheries Forestry And Wildlife is not an approved course in many universities. In Nigeria, not up to 50 percent of all the universities allow Fisheries Forestry And Wildlife. That notwithstanding, it is still one of the easy and lucrative courses to study in the university.

Political science: According to Britannica, Political science can be defined as the the systematic study of governance through the application of empirical and generally scientific methods of analysis. No doubt, Plant science is one of the less demanding courses to study in the university. It is also a less competitive course too. In Nigeria and most African countries, political science is a superb course to study because it will equip you with everything you need to become a good political scientist.
It has been proven that politics is a very lucrative sector of every country. And as a political scientist, you already have what it takes to become a successful politician. No doubt, political science is a perfect choice to study in the university if you are really looking for the best courses to study in the university.

9. Public Administration: Public administration is related to political science. It is an academic discipline that studies the implementation and prepares civil servants for working in the public service. Actually, this is a course for students that want to become civil servants when they graduate.
You will agree with me that public administration is less demanding and lucrative and too. It is a good choice if you are looking for an easy and less competitive course to study in the university.
10. Languages: When I first heard that it was possible to study languages in the university, I laughed to hard. Then, I thought that going to school just to study a particular language was useless because there is absolutely no problem learning it at home. Later, I found out that studying languages does not just mean learning how to speak a language in school. There is actually more but many people don’t know this.
Oxford dictionary defines language as the the method of human communication, either spoken or written, consisting of the use of words in a structured and conventional way. Even my mom was so mad at my brother when he told her that he was going to study language in school. For her, studying languages is totally of no sense. But this is not true.
It will surprise you to know that language is a very lucrative course in Nigeria. Experts in this field of study can work as ambassadors, since they are vast in speaking different kinds of languages, and will be able to communicate fluently.
11. Biochemistry: Biochemistry is another easy course to study in the university. It has to do with the chemical and physico-chemical processes and substances that occur within living organisms. To some scholars, Biochemistry is called biological chemistry.
In the field science, this is the best course if you are searching for a less demanding science course to study in the university. Unlike medicine and surgery or even pharmaceutical science, Biochemistry is not very stressful. It is a lucrative course too. I mean, graduates of Biochemistry can work in Hospitals, research centers etc.

12. Guiding and counseling: Most likely, the simplest university course is one on guiding and counseling. In several academic institutions, a brand-new course has been introduced. However, I must inform you that studying guiding and counseling is a good and simple subject. This is the best course for you if you genuinely want to take something simple to learn.
The course hasn’t been approved by all colleges, so I urge you to check with the institution you plan to attend before you apply for it to make sure it is.
