How many admission lists does UI releases every year?
From past years, the University of Ibadan (UI) actually releases 5 (five) admission lists in total. They include; UI first batch or Merit admission list, UI second batch or second supplementary admission list, UI third batch or third supplementary admission list, UI forth batch or forth supplementary admission list and finally, UI direct entry admission list.
These admission lists are not released at once. The university usually release first batch admission list, then those supplementary and Direct Entry list will follow.
Like other universities, UI releases the names of students who has been offered admission into her different faculties on their website. So basically, most of the admission lists mentioned above are publish in the website of the university directly. That notwithstanding, students will also be required to accept their admission through JAMB CAPS.
Will UI release another admission list this year?
If you are still not sure whether the University of Ibadan (UI) will release another admission list after her merit list, don’t panic at all.
From what i have discussed so far, it is clear that UI is going to more supplementary admission and even Direct Entry list after her merit list. So, you have nothing to worry about.

UI first batch/merit admission list
UI first batch/merit admission list is the list that contains the names of students who actually reached the required cutoff marks and other admission requirements stipulated by the management of the University of Ibadan. This admissions list is usually released in October/November of every month.
Candidates who are offered admission through UI merit list or first batch admission list are usually advised to check their name through the university’s admission checking portal.
UI 2nd, 3rd and 4th batch admission list or supplementary lists
This admission lists are usually released together. They contain names of students who do not really meet the departmental cutoff marks or admission requirements of the University of Ibadan (UI). Sometimes, candidates in UI 2nd, 3rd and 4th batch admission list are published in the university for students to check their names directly.
As at last year, UI supplementary admission lists were released in December. Hopefully it will also be released in December or before December this year. The university of Ibadan usually publish the names of students who gain admission through supplementary admission list in her website.
UI direct entry admission list
UI direct entry admission list is the list for students who applied for UI direct entry admission. This list is usually released together with the university’s supplementary admission list. Though, it might be released after the supplementary list in some cases.
