I enjoin every aspirant of ESUT to read this short post carefully as I painstakingly answer the question. Accordingly, make sure you share this post to everyone so that you can help someone searching for the same information out there.

About Enugu State University of Science and Technology
Believe it or not, Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) is one of the best universities in Eastern Nigeria. It is, in fact, one of the best state universities in Nigeria. ESUT was established in July 30, 1980 by the state government of Enugu state as the indigenous university of the state.
It will surprise you to know that ESUT was formerly known as ASUTECH. Currently, the university is one of the best state universities in Nigeria. Even though, the university is actually a university for strictly science related courses, other art and commercial courses can be studied in the school.
This is obviously why ESUT has turned into a hot cake university for students in Nigeria. I will now tell you whether ESUT accepts people that make them second choice in JAMB.
Does ESUT accept people that make them second choice?
The answer is No! Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) does not offer admission to people that make them a second choice in JAMB. In other words, ESUT does not accept second choice candidates for admission.
Be it direct entry admission or UTME, the university has categorical stated that admission is strictly for those that made them first choice in JAMB.
To corroborate this, I had a friend who made ESUT his first choice of institution last year, but he was not given admission after meeting all the admission requirements and cutoff marks of the Institution. So you see, it is not a joke at all.
Meanwhile, there is actually a solution for those that have already made the university their first choice of institution but what to change it. I will discuss that as we continue.
Why ESUT does not accept second choice
The reason is simple. ESUT does not accept second choice candidates when offering admission because, the university usually have too many aspirants every year.
So, in order to reduce the number of her aspirants, and also fish the best candidates out of all the millions of aspirants, ESUT usually restrict admission to only people that made them first choice during JAMB registration.
What to do if you have already made ESUT your second choice
if you have made ESUT your second choice but still want to change it, there is actually one tentative solution for that. Simply apply for JAMB change of course and institution form as early as possible. With this form, you can decide to, either replace ESUT with another university that accepts second choice or just make the university your first choice instead.
It should be noted, however, that JAMB change of course and institution form has a deadline. If you do not apply for the from after the stipulated deadline, you may not be able to remove Enugu state University of Science and Technology (ESUT) from your second choice any more.

Yeah! Hope this short post was able to answer your question? In a recap, i just said that ESUT does not accept second choice candidates for admission. In other words, the university does not give admission to people that made them a second choice in JAMB.
That notwithstanding, students who has already made the university their second choice can still correct it through JAMB change of course and institution form. This is the only solution for candidates who have already chosen ESUT as their second choice before reading this post.
