The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (Popularly known as UNN) is one of the best and populated universities in Nigeria.
It is the indigenous university of Nigeria because it was the first university to be established in Nigeria after her independence in 1960. UNN is a great school indeed. The university has four campuses with about 43,000 students in total.
When it comes to offering admission to aspirants, UNN is probably the strictest university. The university always have a very high number of admission seekers so, they try as much as possible to fish out the best out of the millions of aspirants. Below, I will answer the question as to whether UNN accept second choice candidates for admission or not.
Does UNN Accept people that make them second choice?
No! The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) does not accept second choice candidates for admission. Be it UTME admission or Direct Entry admission, UNN will not accept second choice candidates.
People who make UNN their second choice are actually wasting their time because the university does not consider admission for second choice candidates at all.
In fact, the management of UNN has made this known several times through the university’s website. Even when the university made a publication urging aspirants to come and purchase her post UTME form, the university noted that her admission is for only those that made the university their first choice of institution.
So you see, UNN does not accept people that make them second choice for admission.
Why UNN don’t accept second choice candidates?
Like you already know, UNN is a very popular and prestigious university in Nigeria. Currently, it is even one of the most populated universities in Nigeria too. UNN is currently one of the most sorted universities, and as such, there is usually no space for candidates that made the university a second choice.
Sometimes, UNN don’t even accept first choice candidates that have low UTME scores because of the high number of students struggling to gain admission into the university at the same time.
Now, many aspirants will be asking, “What should I do now that I have made the university a second choice?”
Well, if you have already made UNN your second choice before to saw this post online, then there is actually a solution for you. Quickly apply for JAMB change of course and institution form for just N2,500 (Two thousand five hundred Naira). With this form, you will be able to change you institution or course.
Make sure that you apply for this form as early as possible because there is actually a deadline for application. This is the only tentative solution you have if you have already made UNN your second choice of institution.
